Signed Original Antique Oil Painting on Oak Panel, Henri Rolland (French) Roses and Fruit Still Life, Ornate Gilt Frame, Floral Painting

890,00 €

A charming French still life by Henri Rolland (1897–1941), depicting pale pink roses arranged in a deep blue-green vase with oranges and dark grapes. Painted in oil on oak panel and signed at the lower right.

Three open roses dominate the upper part of the composition. Their petals range from creamy white and soft pink to deeper crimson. Green leaves and reddish stems extend across the dark background, giving the arrangement a natural sense of movement.

Below the flowers, a whole orange sits beside a partially peeled fruit. A curling peel reveals the pale pith beneath. To the right, a generous bunch of purple-black grapes rests on the tabletop, with several loose grapes scattered across the foreground.

Small blue-green highlights appear on the grapes and echo the colour of the vase. The muted ochre tabletop and deep green-brown background create a warm contrast with the flowers and fruit.

The painting is presented in a broad ornate gilt frame with layered mouldings and raised foliate decoration. It would make an elegant focal point in a dining room, sitting room or traditional country interior.
