Based in our historic manor in the heart of the French Périgord Vert, my work is centred on the acquisition and preservation of fine oil paintings and decorative antiques.
Tulip Thistle Antiques takes its name from our two beautiful Labrador girls, Tulip and Thistle, who are our constant companions throughout our daily life and work. The business is inseparable from its setting where the preservation of our Manoir d’Antan and our art and antique collections often bring challenges along with immense satisfaction and pride.
We source objects that carry a specific aesthetic charm—pieces that bring character and historical depth to a room, mixing old with new. While our collection often includes notable Art Nouveau and Art Deco pieces, the focus is always on the quality of the object itself. We look for items that offer a sense of composure and craftsmanship, bridging the gap between historical origins and modern interiors.
Fine art is at the core of what we do. Our on-site studio provides museum-standard conservation and restoration for oil paintings, using traditional, reversible techniques.
